Dahlberg strengthens its Technical Department of Navigation Electronics and Radiocommunications

About to celebrate next year our 40th anniversary, our firm has specialised for years in the areas of  safety, sanitation and electronics. In the electronics division we have incorporated a team of technicians and engineers to renew and adapt to the technological evolution of the sector.

It is already a reality, Dahlberg has made a renewal of its Electronics Technical Department, with the recent incorporation of four professionals bringing freshness, motivation, enthusiasm and familiarity with the latest technological developments. This merges with the know-how, technical knowledge and experience accumulated over the years by Toni Lopera, head of Department.

With this commitment, we at Dahlberg have been investing since May in the training of these promising people at a time when electronics, in constant technological evolution, has become a totally transversal field based on interconnection with more and more devices, screens, leisure elements and home automation services, beyond pure navigation electronics.

Furthermore, the field of cybersecurity has an enormous path in the immediate future and Dahlberg, after receiving specific training, is working on the application of very strict protocols in his area, in addition to the high level of protocolisation of its internal processes, by virtue of which it has demanding certifications such as the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard, the Lloyd’s Register Approved  Service Supplier title or the authorisation in category M1 as an installer of radio communications and radio navigation equipment by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (Ministerio de Fomento)

Thanks to these  integration, Toni will be able to concentrate on quality and audit control. The new professionals will carry out the work under the supervision of the Head of Department.

The new members of Dahlberg’s Marine Electronics Technical Department are:

Santiago Fasson: industrial engineer trained at the UIB, he is 21 years old, has an extensive nautical knowledge and is passionate about the sea.

Diego Martínez: he is a telecommunications engineer. He is 25 years old and has gained experience in terrestrial communications field work in Cuba. He was recently seen at the Copa del Rey, working for Dahlberg on calibrations and installations on boats competing in the regatta.

David Milán: he is 25 years old and is part of the first class of graduates in the Professional Training in Repair and Maintenance of Recreational Boats. Curiously enough, Margarita Dahlberg was one of the main contributors when creating this vocational training program thanks to her work at the Association of Nautical Companies in the Balearics, AENIB.

Paola Barona: 46 year old industrial engineer whose task will be the coordination and control of project documentation and quality control.

By hiring three engineers from different branches and a technician in Repair and Maintenance of Recreational Boats, Dahlberg aims to cover the whole spectrum of current electronics, thus broadening its horizons of service to its customers.

Dahlberg’s founder, the Swedish yacht captain Kjell Dahlberg, had already carried out a similar renovation in the 1980s with the incorporation of his daughter Margarita and Toni Lopera, at that time young people full of enthusiasm who contributed to updating the company. Decades later, history is repeating itself and Dahlberg is opening its doors to the new generations in order to adapt to current times and prepare for the future, based on the know-how accumulated over the years.
