Is there a difference by using a household toilet paper instead of a special one for marine toilets?
Many household toilet papers contain adhesives. At home, we do not have problem with a lot of the papers we use, because are easily soluble due to the size of the pipes and on the amount of water on the discharge. At home, the pipe triples the size of the boat ones. Also, the amount of water is much more. In a boat sometimes is enough half litre. At home, we need between 6 and 20 litres approximately. That is why we should not use the same paper on the marine toilet.
