As has become a tradition, Dahlberg has had a prominent participation in the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS), a key event in the global boating industry that has just been held from the 25th to the 28th April at the Moll Vell in the Balearic capital.
This edition is doubly special for Dahlberg, as it coincides with the 40th edition of the boat show and marks our 50th anniversary of the company founded by Kjell Dahlberg, pioneer and visionary of the Balearic nautical sector. Our CEO, Margarita Dahlberg, declares that “During these days it fills me with pride to see what this boat show has become and how the sector has grown. I have a very special memory of my father, who knew how to see with great anticipation the potential that the nautical sector would have in our islands. Margarita was instrumental in the development of this boat show as president of the Association of Marine Industries of the Balearic Islands (AENIB), a position she held for more than two decades.
During these four days, from Dahlberg we have presented various innovations in electronics, comfort and safety. The highlight among them, the NSX Ultrawide screen from Simrad, which offers a large active area equivalent to two smaller screens, and the high-speed chartplotter Zeus 3S from B&G, designed specifically for sailing.
In terms of onboard connectivity, we have exhibited the SailaLite antenna, which allows the reception of 5G data at long distance from shore, and the Hydra antenna support, which combines the Starlink antenna with 5G, offering innovative solutions at affordable prices.
In the comfort field, we presented the new NRX 50 fixed cooler, with innovative design and superior energy efficiency, as well as the Patrol portable cooler, in demand for its robustness and high performance, capable of keeping ice frozen for more than 48 hours, both models coming from our partner Dometic.
In safety, we have highlighted the new Jotron Tron 60AIS radio beacon, equipped with AIS, a highly demanded product in view of the legislative changes that will make it mandatory to carry on board a device with automatic identification system AIS and GPS.
Once again this year, we were distinguished by the unmistakable display of electric and vacuum toilets from Dometic, as well as electric toilets from SFA.
It has certainly been a good opportunity for the entire Dahlberg team to enjoy the company of acquaintances from the Balearic marine industry. Throughout the four days, we have been visited by politicians, professionals, customers, suppliers and friends interested in our wide range of products.
